Waverley Council is inviting community members, local businesses and other stakeholders to submit an EOI to join the Working Group to help guide a Special Entertainment Precinct’s establishment in Bondi Junction and day-to-day operation and monitoring throughout the trial.
Bondi Junction is a primary commercial, cultural and transport hub, and offers a range of shopping, dining, businesses and community activity visited on a daily basis by people of all ages. Waverley Council is working towards trialling a SEP in Bondi Junction to support a more diverse night-time economy.
Council requires a mix of voices from across Bondi Junction, including:
Business or hospitality operators within the precinct boundary
Local residents living within or adjacent to the precinct
Local residents or workers in the precinct under the age of 30
Artists, musicians or creative practitioners active in Bondi Junction
Local community groups connected to Bondi Junction
Business network representatives such as Chamber of Commerce
Transport or place representatives
The Working Group is also proposed to include members from Waverley Council, Councillors, staff, NSW Police, Liquor & Gaming NSW, and Transport for NSW.
