Precincts across NSW now have the opportunity to become Purple Flag accredited.

Purple Flag is an internationally recognised accreditation that celebrates precincts that achieve high standards of excellence in delivering safe, vibrant and well-managed night-time experiences. Purple Flag accreditation boosts a precinct’s reputation, increases public confidence and supports a more vibrant going-out economy.
The Purple Flag framework brings councils, businesses, police, transport and community stakeholders together to improve safety, amenity and governance, while encouraging diverse cultural, dining and entertainment experiences.
If your precinct has strong local partnerships and a shared vision for improving the night-time experience, this is a great time to come together and submit a registration of interest as the first step to Purple Flag accreditation.
If you’d like to learn more, register for an online briefing session via the website:
Session 1: 10:30-11.15am Thursday 4 June
Session 2: 11.00-11.45am Tuesday 9 June
Find our more about Purple Flag and how to register your interest on the website.
Please note: It is recommended that you submit your registration of interest as early as possible. Detailed applications typically take 6–10 weeks to prepare, so early registration will allow enough time to then complete your application before the closing date.
