Little BIG is a community-led social impact organisation that designs, delivers and supports places where people can connect, belong and thrive. Our work sits at the intersection of placemaking, social connection and community wellbeing, with a strong focus on reducing loneliness and strengthening everyday relationships in neighbourhoods and workplaces.
We operate and steward welcoming community spaces, most notably Little BIG House in Summer Hill, which functions as a hyper-local “living room” for the community. These spaces host a diverse mix of low-cost, volunteer-led and professionally facilitated activities including workshops, classes, support groups, cultural events, markets, coworking, talks and social gatherings. Programming is intentionally broad and inclusive, designed to appeal across ages, cultures and life stages, with a strong emphasis on accessibility, kindness and belonging.
Beyond our own venues, Little BIG partners with property owners, developers, councils and businesses to embed social infrastructure into residential, commercial and mixed-use precincts. We provide strategic advice, program design, community activation and evaluation to help partners create places that are not only financially successful, but socially sustainable. Our work is evidence-led, drawing on regular community surveys and impact measurement to demonstrate tangible improvements in social connection, wellbeing and local engagement.
