The Aboriginal Sport for Respect Grant Program enables Aboriginal organisations and communities to design and lead activities that reflect local priorities and ways of knowing, fostering respectful relationships through genuine partnership with the sport and active recreation sector.
Grants between $3,000 and $25,000 are available.
The key objectives of the program are to:
Support Aboriginal-led prevention through sport
Promote safe, respectful and inclusive sporting environments
Address the drivers of domestic and family sexual violence in culturally meaningful ways
Build local capability and partnerships for prevention
Strengthen learning and impact through Aboriginal-led reflection and evaluation in sport
Projects should commence within two months of notification and must be completed by 1 December 2027.

The Office of Sport has engaged an Aboriginal Advisor to provide free and culturally safe support to prospective applicants throughout the application period. You can contact the Advisor via the 'Get in touch' button on this page or via grants@sport.nsw.gov.au.
