Multicultural NSW promotes community harmony and social cohesion in one of the most culturally diverse states in the world.
Festivals are one way to promote cross-cultural awareness and understanding. They give NSW’s culturally diverse communities the opportunity to celebrate, preserve and share traditions, and live the Multicultural Principles of the State.
The Stronger Together Local Councils Major Festival grant funding is for major festivals run by local Councils across NSW in 2027-28.
Up to $250,000 in funding is available for each eligible local council.
Funding is available for festivals delivered between 1 February 2027 to 29 February 2028.
Festivals must have minimum attendance of:
10,000 people in regional NSW
30,000 people in NSW metropolitan areas
