Precinct and place activation funding

Funding to activate places and precincts and create vibrant local economies across the City of Sydney.

Applicants can apply for support for place-based projects that bring economic benefits to local precincts and neighbourhoods. These include workshops, pop-ups, street performances, installations, live music and local festivals.

Key Details

• Applications open Tuesday 21 July

• Applications close 4pm, Tuesday 1 September

• Applicants notified of the outcome of their application in November

• Projects can start from 1 January 2027

• Cash funding of up to $50,000 is available for each project up to one year.

• Multi-year funding (up to 3 years) is also available.

The City encourages applications for place-based initiatives led by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses and community-controlled organisations.
