Stallholder EOIs open for Christmas in the Highlands

The annual Christmas in the Highlands - Illuminations will transport Grey Street and the Glen Innes CBD into a festive wonderland for one evening combining Christmas lights and creative installations with entertainment, markets, food, retail and cultural activities. Stallholder applications are now open.

Glen Innes Severn Council are looking to curate a vibrant festive marketplace filled with high-quality crafts, delicious holiday food and unique gift items. To help curate a balanced, magical experience for everyone, applications will be reviewed with these friendly principles in mind:

• Traders who lean into Christmas theme with stall decorations and items for sale

• Sustainable and Eco-Friendly (i.e. no plastic bags or straws).

• While Council generally assesses applications as they arrive, we prioritise product quality and stall presentation. There may be some duplication pending final stall holder numbers.

• Whenever possible, priority is given to local individuals, businesses and organisations.

• To keep the market dynamic, each application is viewed as new and fresh. No automatic preference is given to past stallholders.

• Stalls must have all relevant certificates and licences to operate.

• The decision by Council on selection of stalls and location is final.

• There are no fees for stallholders. As such, Council urges applicants to be certain and committed to attending the event before lodging their application.
